Welcome!
A Gathering of Generations

The 2026 Ephraim K. Hanks Reunion celebrates the 200th birthday of Ephraim Knowlton Hanks, born March 21, 1826. Ephraim was an early convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, recruit of the Mormon Battalion, pioneer scout, frontier mail carrier, Southern Utah settler, and participated in rescue efforts for the beleaguered Martin Handcart company of 1856. Ephraim was husband to three wives: Harriet Decker, Jane Capener, and Thisbe Read, and was father to 27 children. There are thousands of his descendants across the world!

The reunion will be held on June 20, 2026 at the beautiful American West Heritage Center, in Wellsville, Utah. There will be a wagon-load of activities for the whole family.

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with a large extended family, meet your cousins, and get to know more about your ancestors. And, we'll have a lot of fun in the process!
